Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 28 | Nurturing Animals, Elevating Food

Compassionate Farming vs. Industrial Agriculture

In this recent episode of the Sovereign Sisters Podcast, I had the chance to delve into the contrasts between humane, sustainable farming and the industrial practices that dominate much of the agricultural landscape today. While I want to share more about my visit to Hidden Waters Farm, I found myself compelled to first address some broader concerns that have surfaced in recent conversations and research, particularly highlighted during a powerful interview by Tucker Carlson with Casey and Calley Means.

The Dark Side of Industrial Farming

Industrial farming, particularly through Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs), has become the norm in modern agriculture. These facilities, where large numbers of animals are confined in tight spaces, prioritize efficiency and cost reduction over the well-being of the animals and the environment. The issues that arise from these practices are numerous:

Environmental Impact: CAFOs contribute significantly to pollution, affecting air and water quality in surrounding areas. The waste produced in such concentrated settings often leads to contamination of local water sources, impacting not only the environment but also the health of communities nearby.

Animal Welfare: The conditions within CAFOs are far from natural. Animals are deprived of sunlight, fresh air, and the ability to engage in normal behaviors, leading to high levels of stress, physical injury, and disease. This inhumane treatment is not just an ethical issue but also affects the quality of the food produced.

Health Risks: One of the most concerning aspects of CAFOs is the routine use of antibiotics to prevent disease in these overcrowded conditions. This practice contributes to the growing issue of antibiotic resistance, posing a significant public health risk.

A Wake-Up Call

In a recent interview, Tucker Carlson spoke with Casey Means, a Stanford-educated surgeon, and her brother, Cally Means, a former lobbyist for Pharma and then the food industry. Their discussion sheds light on the stark realities of how industrial farming affects the food we consume and, by extension, our health. They emphasize that the method of raising animals — whether on industrial farms or in pasture-raised, humane conditions — directly impacts the nutritional quality of the meat.

Factory-farmed meat, often derived from animals raised indoors on GMO corn and soy, is higher in inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids, while pasture-raised meat, which comes from animals allowed to graze freely, contains more beneficial omega-3 fatty acids. This difference alone is a compelling argument for why we should be more mindful of where our food comes from.

Compassionate Farming: The Better Way

Hidden Waters Farm, where I recently spent a day, embodies the opposite of CAFO practices. Joe Schaffer and his team operate under the principles of regenerative farming, focusing on the well-being of the animals and the sustainability of the land. This approach not only benefits the environment but also ensures that the animals live in conditions that allow them to thrive, which in turn enhances the quality of the food they produce.

During my visit, I witnessed firsthand the calm demeanor of the animals, the healthy state of the land, and the deep respect the farmers have for their livestock. It’s clear that this model of farming — one rooted in compassion and sustainability — leads to better outcomes for both the animals and the people who consume their products.

The Ripple Effect

The contrast between industrial and regenerative farming practices is stark, not only in terms of animal welfare and environmental impact but also in the quality of the food produced and its effects on our health. The Tucker Carlson interview highlights how the systems we’ve built around food production are intertwined with public health issues and calls for a reevaluation of how we approach agriculture.

As consumers, we have the power to influence these systems by choosing to support farmers who prioritize humane and sustainable practices. By doing so, we contribute to a healthier, more ethical food system that benefits everyone — animals, people, and the planet alike.

Call to Action

If you’re interested in learning more about the impact of industrial farming and the benefits of regenerative practices, I encourage you to listen to the full Tucker Carlson interview. It’s an eye-opening conversation that connects the dots between farming practices, public health, the quality of our food and much more.

And if you ever have the chance to visit a farm like Hidden Waters, take it. There’s no better way to understand the profound difference that compassionate farming can make. Let’s work together to support a food system that nurtures both the land and the creatures who depend on it.

Until next time, let’s strive to reconnect with nature and foster a more compassionate, sustainable way of living.

Sovereign Sisters

Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 27 | Unfiltered & Uncensored

In the latest episode of the Sovereign Sisters Podcast, I took listeners through an unfiltered exploration of current world events, sharing my thoughts on the state of politics, healthcare, and the importance of personal sovereignty.

Politics

I began by addressing my discomfort with politics but acknowledging its inescapable presence in our lives. There are apparent inconsistencies and contradictions in political actions, notably how politicians often say one thing and do another, leaving the public to deal with the consequences. Listen to my examples from recent events to highlight these contradictions and the frustration they cause.

Healthcare

Shifting away from politics, I dove into my area of expertise — healthcare. There are alarming developments, such as the discovery of nanobots in the citizens of Japan as acknowledged by their government and the implications of experimental medical interventions. It is important to seek the truth and to ask questions and analyze the motives of mainstream narratives, particularly in the health sector. I believe in natural healing and self-care and encourage everyone to explore natural health practices that align more closely with the body’s innate  processes.

Global Issues

There is a growing sense of disillusionment among people who feel overwhelmed by the barrage of negative news and the manipulation by powerful entities. I encourage you to find trusted sources of information and to be discerning in who they choose to believe. This ties into her broader theme of sovereignty — not just in terms of national or political independence, but personal sovereignty over one’s health, mind, and decisions.

Reflecting on global issues, such as environmental exploitation and the cultural and spiritual battles being fought worldwide, I highlight the importance of standing up for one’s beliefs and values, even in the face of overwhelming opposition. I make a call to return to foundational principles, including a closer relationship with God and a commitment to living in alignment with higher truths.

My Message

My message is clear: in a world filled with uncertainty and manipulation, it’s more important than ever to reclaim personal sovereignty, seek truth, stand firm in one’s convictions and trust in our Creator.

NOTE: Due to the feedback on the recording, the video of Dr. Ferreira discussing his discovery of a way to program T-cells to attack tumors is also available.

Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 26 | Know Your Farmer

The Journey of Joe Shaffer and Hidden Waters Farm

In the latest episode of the Sovereign Sisters Podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Joe Shaffer, a lifelong farmer with a deep-rooted passion for agriculture. Joe’s journey from a bustling cattle farm upbringing to becoming a pioneer in modern farming practices is nothing short of inspiring. We explore his story and learn about the transformative practices at Hidden Waters Farm.

Early Roots and Education

Joe’s connection to the land began at an early age on his family’s cattle farm. His enthusiasm for farming was nurtured and developed during his education at Hereford High School in Maryland. He furthered his knowledge by earning a degree in agricultural business from the University of Maryland, equipping him with the skills to innovate and excel in the agricultural sector.

The Birth of Hidden Waters Farm

Today, Joe is the proud partner and farmer at Hidden Waters Farm in Pikesville, Maryland. Under his stewardship, the farm has become a beacon of sustainable farming, producing pasture-raised meats, farm-fresh eggs, golden honey, and organic produce. With a commitment to a direct consumer business model, Joe ensures the highest quality products reach your table, embodying the farm-to-market ethos.

A Commitment to Regenerative Agriculture

Joe’s journey took a transformative turn when he visited Joel Salatin’s farm. Inspired by Salatin’s sustainable practices, Joe realized the potential of farming on a smaller, more sustainable scale. He returned home, built his first chicken tractor, and began raising animals in a more natural, sustainable way. Today, Hidden Waters Farm is non-GMO, soy-free, and chemical-free, with a focus on grass-fed, grass-finished beef.

The Importance of Knowing Your Farmer

Joe emphasizes the importance of knowing your farmer and asking questions about their practices. Transparency is key at Hidden Waters Farm. Joe and his team are always open to discussing their methods and the health of their animals. This openness builds trust and makes customers feel like part of the farm family.

The Impact of Regenerative Farming

Regenerative farming is more than just a buzzword for Joe; it’s a philosophy. By working with nature rather than against it, Joe aims to make the land better each year. This means increasing organic matter, learning new practices, and constantly evolving to improve the health of the soil and animals.

Community and Customer Connection

Hidden Waters Farm thrives on its connection with the local community. Joe and his team host events like the Harvest Fest, where local vendors, bands, and customers come together to celebrate and enjoy the farm’s bounty. These events not only highlight the farm’s products but also foster a sense of community and support for local businesses.

The Daily Life of a Farmer

A typical day on the farm for Joe involves wellness checks on the animals, moving chickens and cows, and ensuring everything is running smoothly. The farm operates with a philosophy of constant movement, providing fresh bedding and grass for the animals daily. This practice not only keeps the animals healthy but also regenerates the soil.

Challenges and Rewards

Farming comes with its challenges, but for Joe, the rewards far outweigh the difficulties. The health and well-being of the animals are paramount, and the joy of seeing the farm thrive and the community support makes every day worthwhile.

Parting Reflections

Joe Shaffer’s journey and the story of Hidden Waters Farm are a testament to the power of sustainable, regenerative farming. By knowing your farmer and understanding their practices, you can make more informed choices about the food you eat. Hidden Waters Farm exemplifies what farming should be—transparent, sustainable, and deeply connected to the community.

If you’re in Maryland or the surrounding areas, I highly recommend visiting Hidden Waters Farm, meeting Joe, and experiencing the incredible products they offer. Support your local farmers, invest in quality food, and be a part of the regenerative farming movement.

Until next time, eat well, find a farmer you can trust, and embrace the journey of knowing where your food comes from. God bless.

Sovereign Sisters

Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 25 | Meme Wars

In the latest episode of the Sovereign Sisters Podcast, I delve into the phenomenon of “meme wars,” exploring how memes have become a powerful medium for conveying messages and shaping public opinion. Memes are defined as concepts, behaviors, or media that spread across platforms with the intent to communicate specific themes or meanings. Memes resonate with people, often because they address current issues or provide a humorous take on serious matters.

Throughout the episode, I discuss various memes, noting their recurring themes and the truths they reveal. It’s important to emphasize that memes often serve as a battleground for ideas, with creators vying to capture the public’s attention and promote messages of truth and freedom. Many memes offer a satirical yet insightful critique of societal norms, government actions, and public health policies.

One key aspect of this review of memes is their role in questioning mainstream narratives, particularly regarding health, government, and individual rights. Memes can prompt critical thinking and encourage people to question the information presented to them by authorities and the media. Watch the podcast as I share examples of memes that challenge the efficacy of vaccines, the motivations behind public health recommendations, and the legitimacy of governmental power.

There is also an emotional impact in memes. I share my personal experience with loss and how it fuels my passion for spreading awareness. I continue to stress the importance of bodily autonomy and self-healing, advocating for a return to natural remedies and a rejection of fear-based compliance with medical and governmental directives.

I encourage listeners to share memes and engage in discussions that promote awareness and critical thinking. Let’s make a collective effort to resist control and maintain individual sovereignty, to educate ourselves about our rights and to live self-sufficiently. I hope my passionate delivery and personal anecdotes compel you to start a discussion with friends and family on the power of memes in today’s society to bring about positive change.

Sovereign Sister’s Podcast | Episode 24 | Dipping into Your Pocket: Are Gov’t Programs Worth the Cost?

Sovereign Sisters

In this week’s Sovereign Sister’s Podcast episode, I explore the “value” of various government programs and scrutinize their cost-effectiveness by following the trail of taxpayer dollars.

The Supreme Court and Bureaucracy

In Episode 21, I discussed the Supreme Court’s reversal of the Chevron Doctrine, emphasizing the restoration of constitutional mandates and the limitation of unelected bureaucrats’ powers. This highlights the shift towards accountability and constitutional governance.

Below are the Top 10 Obsolete Government Programs that I discuss in detail on the podcast providing an in-depth analysis. For each program, I review the achievements made (actually the lack of achievements) in recent years while squandering our tax dollars.

10. Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS): Originally established to help farmers minimize soil erosion, the NRCS has grown into a costly entity with multiple overlapping programs, receiving billions without clear, beneficial outcomes for small farmers.

9. Rural Electrification Administration (REA): Created to bring electricity to rural areas, recent funding has shifted towards renewable energy projects that seem disconnected from its original mission.

8. US Geological Survey (USGS): Intended to catalog geology and mineral resources, the USGS now focuses on climate change research and seismic hazard modeling, with questionable impact on their stated goals.

7. Rural Housing Development Service (RHDS): Aimed at providing housing loans to rural residents, this service struggles with effectively addressing affordable housing shortages despite significant investments.

6. Small Business Administration (SBA): Designed to foster small business development, the SBA faces criticism for its ineffectiveness in increasing lending and capital access despite budget increases.

5. Public Health Service Commission Corps (PHSCC): An administrative body with military-like ranks and benefits, the PHSCC is seen as an unnecessary bureaucratic entity.

4. Davis-Bacon Act: This act requires contractors on federal projects to pay prevailing wages, often leading to increased costs and extended project timelines without significant benefits.

3. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (ACDA): Established to reduce nuclear weapons, this agency’s overlap with other initiatives and its impact on wage policies are questioned.

2. Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB): CPB’s recent projects, such as the American Songbook and The Great American Read, have failed to deliver meaningful benefits to the public despite substantial funding.

 1. Economic Development Administration (EDA): The EDA’s activities duplicate those of other community development programs, offering limited benefits despite significant funding.

Accountability and Public Involvement

In the podcast, I stress the importance of public involvement in ensuring that tax dollars are not wasted. Citizens are encouraged to stay informed, attend local government meetings, and participate in community organizations. By demanding transparency and accountability from elected officials, the public can help redirect funds to more effective and beneficial uses.

Wrap Up

Government programs often suffer from inefficiencies and mismanagement, leading to significant waste of taxpayer money. Public engagement and oversight are crucial in holding officials accountable and ensuring that funds are spent wisely. As taxpayers, it is our responsibility to be vigilant and proactive in demanding better use of our hard-earned money.

Sovereign Sisters

Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 23 | Food Wars: Battling for a Healthier Future

This week’s Sovereign Sisters Podcast dove deep into what I call the “War on Food.” This is an issue that’s becoming increasingly apparent, especially here in the United States, encompassing recent fires at food facilities, government actions against independent farmers, and broader implications that some link to the so-called “Great Reset.” Let’s unpack this.

What’s Happening with The War on Food?

We’re witnessing a series of troubling events and government policies that appear to target the stability and independence of our food supply. Small, independent farmers, particularly those focusing on organic farming, face regulatory actions that place undue burdens on them. Additionally, there have been numerous unexplained fires at food packing and processing plants, raising questions about whether these incidents are coordinated efforts to control or undermine our food industry.

Government Policies and Their Impact

The introduction of regulatory measures, such as the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) signed into law during the Obama administration, has significantly impacted small farmers. While the intent was to improve food safety, these regulations have been heavy-handed, often pushing small, independent farmers out of business or forcing them to sell out to large agricultural companies. This shift has led to a decrease in the diversity and quality of our food supply.

The Great Reset and Its Implications

Viewing these issues through the lens of the Great Reset, we see globalists aiming to reshape the world to fit their vision, which includes more automation and less reliance on human labor. This agenda threatens our freedom and the quality of our food, as sustainable agriculture practices get sidelined in favor of corporate-controlled, genetically modified crops and artificial foods.

The Role of “Pandemics” and Emergencies

The COVID-19 plandemic highlighted vulnerabilities in our food supply chain, with lockdowns disrupting transportation and increasing regulatory pressures. Similarly, the avian flu scare, where drastic measures like the culling of millions of chickens are taken based on minimal evidence, further destabilizes our food supply and drives prices up.

Fires and Disruptions in Food Production

There have been numerous fires at major food production facilities, including a significant fire at a Tyson Foods plant that destroyed a large portion of their meat production. Such incidents lead to supply shortages and increased prices, further straining both farmers and consumers.

Educating Consumers and Supporting Local Farmers

One of the most effective ways to combat this war on food is through education. Consumers need to understand the importance of supporting local, organic farmers who use sustainable practices. Asking the right questions at farmers’ markets, such as whether the produce is organic or chemical-free, is crucial. Supporting Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) initiatives is another way to ensure a steady supply of chemical-free, locally grown food.

The Importance of Growing Your Own Food

For those who are able, growing your own food can be a highly rewarding and sustainable practice. Even starting small with hydroponics or a backyard garden can make a significant difference in your food quality and security. Watching your food grow not only provides fresh, nutritious produce but also offers a sense of accomplishment and connection to nature.

Taking Control of Our Food Supply

To win the war on food, we must vote with our wallets by supporting farmers and producers who prioritize sustainability and transparency. Educating ourselves and others about the importance of high-quality, nutrient-dense food will help us build a healthier future. Let’s demand better practices and make informed choices about the food we consume.

Watch the replay of the podcast to gain more insight on these key points. I encourage you to take action in supporting sustainable food practices before it’s too late!

Sovereign Sisters

Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 22 | A Wake-Up Call: My Journey Through the ER and Vision for Change

I want to share an interesting and rather enlightening experience I had this week during a visit to the ER. Watch the latest recording of the Sovereign Sisters Podcast as I delve into what’s working, what’s not, and explore some thoughts on how we can improve our healthcare system.

The Incident

It all started with an insect bite I treated naturally, believing the worst was over. But as days passed, symptoms worsened, and despite my efforts with natural and homeopathic remedies, I was left struggling. Eventually, my naturopath suggested I seek emergency medical help due to suspected cellulitis.

The ER Experience

Arriving at the ER, I was swiftly moved to a gurney for a cardiovascular workup. I spent hours there, amidst pain and discomfort, waiting for care. My husband was my only source of comfort, bringing me water and keeping me company. Despite the hard work of the ER staff, the environment felt chaotic and unproductive.

The Diagnosis

After a series of tests and an eight-hour wait, a doctor confirmed the diagnosis my naturopath had already given. They provided the necessary treatment, which brought relief, but the experience left me pondering the inefficiencies of our ER system.

Identifying the Issues

Many non-emergency cases flood the ER, leading to long waits and overwhelmed staff. I wondered if having healthcare students or retired professionals help with minor cases could ease this burden. Segregating non-emergent patients into a different area might also help prioritize those in critical need.

A Community Approach

My experience wasn’t isolated; I saw many elderly patients waiting for hours without adequate attention. This highlighted a significant issue: our healthcare system often neglects those who aren’t in immediate danger but still need care and compassion.

We need a community-focused approach, integrating volunteers and healthcare students to assist with non-emergent cases. This could alleviate the pressure on ERs and ensure that everyone receives timely and compassionate care.

Final Thoughts

Let’s come together to find solutions, support each other, and rebuild our sense of community. If you have any thoughts or experiences with the ER, I’d love to hear from you. How can we improve and make our healthcare system more efficient and humane?

Let’s strive to be true humanitarians, one community at a time.

Sovereign Sisters

Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 21 | Embracing Sovereignty and New Beginnings

Watch the recording to see who goes solo in this week’s solo podcast. The content of the podcast addresses a significant shift in American governance with the overturning of the Chevron Deference. The journey ahead will keep us focused on the theme of sovereignty and independence.

The Chevron Deference: What It Means and Why It Matters

The Chevron Deference, also known as Chevron Doctrine, originated from a 1984 Supreme Court ruling that allowed federal agencies to interpret ambiguous laws in their regulatory actions. This doctrine effectively gave agencies like the EPA and ATF substantial power to impose regulations without explicit legislative approval. The recent overturning of this doctrine marks a pivotal moment, potentially reshaping how laws are interpreted and enforced.

A Call for Awareness and Action

It’s necessary to emphasize the importance of understanding these legal changes and their implications. It’s common to criticize the lack of public awareness and the hidden nature of such decisions, that’s why it imperative that listeners stay informed and proactive. The Chevron Doctrine’s reversal signals a shift back to a more constitutionally grounded governance, where laws must be clear and directly enacted by elected legislators.

The Importance of Sovereignty

Central to this message is the concept of sovereignty—both personal and collective. Individuals can reclaim their independence by staying informed, questioning ambiguous regulations, and uniting with like-minded people. There are examples highlighted like the restrictions on Idaho farmers’ water rights, illustrating how government agencies’ overreach can have dire consequences on everyday lives.

A New Beginning

A powerful call to action is sent out to all listeners: to embrace sovereignty as a birthright and a path to a fuller, more conscious life. Time to evaluate your lives, discard what doesn’t serve you, and stand firm in your autonomy. Sovereignty is not just a political stance but a personal commitment to living authentically and independently.

The Sovereign Sisters Podcast remains hopeful and determined to guide our audience through these transformative times. Embracing this new beginning and reclaiming your sovereignty.

Sovereign Sisters

Sovereign Sisters Podcast | Episode 19 | Jury Duty: Before the Gavel Drops

Navigating the Complexities of Jury Duty: Insights and Reflections

We dive into the often-overlooked world of jury duty in this episode. While many view it as a civic duty, our experiences reveal a system fraught with inefficiencies and frustrations. From the initial paperwork to the final deliberation, jury duty can be a convoluted and stressful process.

The Jury Duty Process: Our Personal Accounts

Imagine receiving a jury duty notice in the mail. It asks for information the government already possesses, leading to a repetitive and seemingly unnecessary process. You’re assigned a group number and must call in the evening before to see if you’re needed. This alone can feel like a gamble, adding to the overall uncertainty.

We recently went through this process. Listen to the podcast to hear about the long, tedious process. From the initial phone call to the final deliberations. The entire process felt disorganized and overly time-consuming, leaving a feeling of frustration and wondering why the system was designed this way.

The Challenges of Jury Deliberation

There is a more in-depth experience shared from a few months prior regarding a criminal case. The courtroom dynamics were intense, with attorneys and judges scrutinizing potential jurors, adding pressure to an already stressful situation. Despite the initial camaraderie among jurors, the stress of deliberation took its toll, leading to tension and conflict. The whole process left a feeling of uneasiness and questioning the justice system’s integrity.

The Broader Implications

Our discussion extended beyond personal experiences to broader critiques of the legal system. The process of selecting jurors often seems arbitrary and biased, with attorneys aiming to sway the jury in their favor. This can lead to decisions based more on strategy than justice. Moreover, the complexity of legal language and the lack of proper understanding among jurors further complicate the process.

We also touched on the systemic issues within the government and legal institutions. The current system appears to be more about maintaining control and less about delivering true justice. This sentiment is echoed in various aspects of life, from food regulations to political proceedings.

A Call for Change

Reflecting on these experiences, we believe there is a need for a significant overhaul of the legal system. We envision a system that is simpler, more transparent, and truly serves the people. This could involve professional jurors who understand the law, ensuring fairer and more informed verdicts. Additionally, reducing the influence of biased attorneys and judges could help restore faith in the judicial process.

Building a Better Community

Beyond legal reforms, we advocate for a return to community-focused living. In an age where fear and division are prevalent, it’s crucial to reconnect with our neighbors and rebuild trust. By fostering local communities and supporting each other, we can create a more resilient and compassionate society.

Final Thoughts

We encourage you to reflect on your own experiences and the broader implications of our current systems. Whether you’ve served on a jury or simply navigated everyday legalities, your insights are valuable. Let’s work together to advocate for a fairer, more just system and a stronger, more united community.

Listen to the replay of Episode 19 of the Sovereign Sisters Podcast and provide your insight in the comments. Stay vigilant, stay united, and let’s strive for a better future together.
